Maurizio Sarri has only been in the Juventus job a few days but has already flown to meet Cristiano Ronaldo in the south of France.

Ronaldo is on holiday on the French Riviera and but has already personally spoken with Sarri after he was named as Juve boss earlier this week.

Sarri flew to discuss next season with the Ballon d’Or winner, with the former Napoli boss keen to help Ronaldo break records in 2019/20.

The new Bianconeri boss wants to move Ronaldo into a more central role and has told the Portugal international that he should be aiming for 40 goals this coming campaign.

That would smash the Serie A record for most goals in a season, currently held by Gonzalo Higuain, who netted 36 under Sarri at Napoli.

Ronaldo was said to be impressed by the veteran tactician and is hopeful that together they win an unprecedented treble.
